Carbon containing refractories for ladle working lining
Three types of carbon containing refractories are developed and produced by Beiing Lirrs to be used forladle lining, which can be summarized as follows.
(1)The. series of low carbon bricks: low carbon MgO-C and Al,Og-spinel bricks with carbon contentbelow 5%, used for low carbon steel production.
(2)The. series of Al,O.-MgO-C bricks: Al,O3-MgO-C and MgO-Al,O-C bricks with carbon contentabove 8%. Those products are featured with high corrosion and erosion resistance and good thermalshock resistance and used for normal carbon and high carbon steel production.
(3)The series of MgO-C bricks: High quality magnesite and graphite are used as main materials forthe bricks. Those products are featured with high corrosion and erosion resistance, good thermalshock resistance and high volume stability and used for normal carbon and high carbon steelproduction.
Low carbon MgO-C bricks
Base on high quality magnesite and graphite as main raw materials, a series of products are produced via pressing and low temperature pre-baking and mainly used in slag zone of ladle lined with low carbon or carbon-free refractories for low and ultra-low steel production. The products have high strength, good corrosion resistance and excellent thermal shock resistance.
The products are widely used in more than 10 plants such as BaoSteel (lade of 300mt), Jingtang Steel of(ladle of 300mt), Baotou Steel of (ladle of 210mt), Handan Steel of (ladle of 120mt) and Benxi Steel of (ladle of 1 50mt) and highly appreciated by end-users.
